Traditional lime plastering is a multi-coat process applied directly to the masonry substrate. Each coat is left to cure before the next is applied - a process that cannot be rushed and requires an experienced hand to read correctly.

Crucially, lime plaster allows moisture to pass through the wall and evaporate at the surface. This keeps walls dry without the need for mechanical damp proofing on older solid-wall properties..
